Authors submitting manuscripts to this journal must provide a clear declaration regarding the use or non-use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools in the preparation of their work. This declaration must specify whether generative AI systems, machine learning tools, automated writing assistants, image-generation software, or related technologies were used at any stage of manuscript development, including drafting, editing, data analysis, translation, coding, figure preparation, or literature review. Where AI tools were used, authors must identify the tool(s), describe the scope and purpose of use, and affirm that all content has been reviewed and verified by the authors, who retain full responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the submission.
The journal recognizes that AI-assisted technologies may support aspects of scholarly work when used transparently and responsibly. However, AI systems shall not be listed as authors, co-authors, or contributors with accountability roles, as they cannot assume responsibility for the scientific validity, ethical compliance, or intellectual ownership of the work. Authors are expected to ensure that AI use does not result in plagiarism, fabricated citations, manipulated data, or misleading interpretations. Failure to disclose material AI assistance constitutes a breach of publication ethics and may be treated as a form of misrepresentation or academic misconduct.
If the editorial office, reviewers, or publisher reasonably suspect substantial undeclared AI-generated or AI-assisted content, the journal reserves the right to request clarification, supporting documentation, or revision from the authors. In cases where undeclared AI use is confirmed or where authors fail to provide satisfactory disclosure, the manuscript is likely to be rejected, withdrawn from consideration, or subject to additional ethical review procedures. Repeated or deliberate non-disclosure may result in further actions consistent with the journal's publication ethics policies.
